It's October 27th and the clock is ticking, getting closer to November 1st! Every few days I receive an encouraging email from the National Novel Writing Month folks as we get closer to the starting line.
I've decided to rename my Chicago editions of the Envied Rapture series from Windy City Chronicles to Windy City Nights - I like the sound of that better.
I've signed up for NaNoWriMo that begins on November 1st and ends at midnight November 30th.
I'm not sure if the On The Ropes first draft will end up being 50,000 words (challenge word count), but I'll keep track and report on my progress. I envisioned this story to be more of a novella, but I'll see where NaNoWriMo takes me.
All right everyone, I've received and have accounted for all 10 assignments in the 30-Day Novel Writing Challenge. I was able to create a pdf file of my On the Ropes project using the challenge software application.
I've decided not to pay for the full license of the application that was enabled for the challenge participants. I captured all the steps and created a master spreadsheet that I think is more straight forward, easier to navigate and will keep me organized. I can still use the free version of the application and pay for the full license at any time, if I choose to.
National Novel Writing Month is still several days away, but I will begin drafting On the Ropes before November 1st. I want to go over what I've prepared so far, fill in any story and description gaps and then I'll get started with the first draft with the intention of a completed first draft by November 30th.
I'll keep you updated on my progress along the way!
I've just completed Assignment #8 of the 30-Day Novel-Outlining Challenge and I anticipate receiving the 10th and final assignment on Thursday October 22nd. Once I finish that challenge, I'll begin writing the first draft - probably a few days before NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month officially kicks off on November 1st.
I've been having fun updating my website in between assignments. I've included information about the weekly Club Envidious masked open house. Click here to check it out.
