What I'm Working On
Slow Ride - A Biker, a Blonde and a Coffee Shop - Windy City Nights 3
Update 11/13/19: I am over 3200 words into my short story. I've started Chapter 4. Melissa Green is the heroine and Noah Shepherd is the hero. I only have up to 10,000 words. This will be a such a challenge for me! My shortest story is just over 18K, which is Off the Hook, Windy City Nights Inception and you know how difficult that was for me. The tentative title is All Roads Lead to Shepherd Grove.
This new story is a small town romance, more on the sweet side. It takes place in Texas. Many thanks to fellow Evernight authors Lynn Spangler and Lacee Hightower for helping me flush out the the basic storyline and the town and character names. I hope I can do this! It has to submitted by March 15th.
It took a little while to get started, but I'm working on the story outline. I'm even thinking about the next story too. Carlo Antonetti and his love interest who you met in On the Ropes.
If you're up on the series, Tom (Tommy) Murphy and Karla Collins were introduced in On the Ropes. They are somewhat recurring characters. Tommy is a bit of a man-whore and Karla met Abbey in graduate school and was a bridesmaid at Luke and Abbey's wedding, and is also a goddess with coffee, running her own shop in Lombard, IL inspired by Brew Point Coffee in Elmhurst, IL. She's teaming up with Kyle Asher to expand her business as part of the Envy Entertainment family of companies.
Neither is looking or is interested in love, but I don't think they'll have any choice in the matter.
Karla's father destroyed her parent's marriage by cheating and Tommy's former sex buddy is out to ruin their budding relationship.
And there's the fact that Tommy hates coffee...
