Yes, I'm feeling a little impatient. And yes, I recognize it hasn't even been a full week since I resubmitted my revised The Warrior's Whisper manuscript to Evernight for their re-consideration.

I've refocused on Hannah's Bliss, getting my character notes fleshed out and story outlined so I can begin writing in earnest this week.

The Warrior's Whisper - resubmitted

Yesterday I finished revising The Warrior's Whisper and resubmitted it to Evernight Publishing for reconsideration. I believe the story is better, stronger and more emotional, especially in regard to Heath's character and even Rocco Moretti whose story is next in Hannah's Bliss.

I'm giving myself a minute to regroup before I continue on with Hannah's Bliss.

Once I get the acceptance for The Warrior's Whisper - there will be a Rocco Moretti surprise I can't wait to share. Still can't quite believe it myself, but I'm just going to go with it and have fun! And hopefully all of you will too.

You never know what can happen unless you put yourself out there and ask. That's the last I'll say about this until I can announce something.

The Warrior's Whisper - revising

So this happened - I heard back from Evernight on my submission of The Warrior's Whisper. The acquisition editor asked for some revisions to make the story and conflict clearer and stronger.

I admit I was stunned, hurt, maybe even a little offended. I just knew I'd get the story accepted as is.

But now that I've begun evaluating the editor notes, PM'd the marketing manager who is also an Evernight author for some advice - I'm feeling better about the story and the changes I've already made and will continue to make.

The story will be more emotional, not necessarily a bad thing, right? It will also help to make Hannah's Bliss better. I've had to stop my story development for now, though I have most of it down. I'm anxious to get Hannah's Bliss written.

I've got some surprises in store, relating to Rocco Moretti's character so this revision request is messing with my surprise timelines. I want to finish revising and resubmit The Warrior's Whisper in the next several days.
