This new story is a small town romance, more on the sweet side. It takes place in Texas. Many thanks to fellow Evernight authors Lynn Spangler and Lacee Hightower for helping me flush out the the basic storyline and the town and character names. I hope I can do this! It has to submitted by March 15th.
I'm outlining a short story for an anthology the Writers on the River authors are putting together. I only have up to 10,000 words. This will be a such a challenge for me! My shortest story is just over 18K, which is Off the Hook, Windy City Nights Inception and you know how difficult that was for me.

I haven't participated in the #evernighties blog challenge in awhile, but I thought I would for Week 43. One would think since by day I'm a computer nerd that I would have many apps on my phone, but truth be told, I don't. I'm rather old school when it comes to my cell phone. For the most part I use it to make calls and send a text or two. Since I began writing though, I ended up with a few apps I use frequently. WhatsApp - Since "meeting" Italian model Luca Pantini, it's our go-to way to communicate/text as long as he has good cellphone reception. Voxer - it's a pretty cool little tool, has a Walkie / Talkie feature and texting feature. I'm sure it has many others. I'm using the free version right now for a project I'm working on. Instagram - I never had an account until I became an author. I use my cellphone to upload pictures, and my laptop for comments and everything else. Then there was my failed attempt with the MLB app when trying to secure some Cubs tickets for a game in May. What a nightmare that was! Never fear though, we were able to get our tickets at the box office and see the game - Go Cubs!! What about you? Any apps you can't live without? I was a little late finding out about the article publication date, but here I am in Female First, not too long after "Off the Hook" was published. Click here to read the article, sharing 10 things I'd like my readers to know about me. It's #TeaserTuesday, with a teaser from my debut On the Ropes. Luke and Abbey reunite after a horrible misunderstanding tore them apart ten years before. Can Luke convince Abbey they belong together for good? He's determined and won't take no for an answer. I wanted to share a fun article - not that we need another reason - or 10 to read - or write romance novels. Now you can read about the health benefits associated with reading romance novels. You see? Reading romance is good for you! Click here to read the article. It's from little things dot com. |
