I'm thrilled to share the story of how Luke and Abbey from On the Ropes met and fell in the love. This story is the inception of the Windy City Nights series. How it all began. Young love. Before their huge break up. Before Heath and Rocco met in Afghanistan and got injured. Before all the chaos that ensued after Cassie and Jake's wedding brunch...before everything... Check out the Free Read page on my website for the download links. They're at the bottom of the page. Amazon lists the ebook for .99 cents (or the international equivalent) for now, until it's price matched. I've have some friends inform Amazon it's free at other online retailers so hopefully in a few days Amazon will also list it as free. ![]() I'm so excited! My first short story / novella Off the Hook releases tomorrow. Windy City Nights Inception - before it all began. Luke and Abbey's original love store, before On the Ropes. This will be a free read. I believe it will be .99 cents at Amazon until readers tell them it's free at other online retailers and Amazon will price match it. Blurb She was headed to college. He was an up and coming pitcher in the majors. Life had other plans and threw them a curve ball. Abbey Jayne has always been a bit of a nerd. She prefers books and computers over people. Especially boys. She hasn’t worried much about dating and is content taking a backseat to her sister Cassie, the social butterfly. Abbey’s headed to college in the fall anyway. Everything changes after she reluctantly agrees to join Cassie and her boyfriend for dinner. Hunky pitcher for the Chicago Cobras, Luke Stryker is also coming along. He seems larger than life and Abbey’s surprised by her attraction to him. At twenty, Luke Stryker is already one of the best pitchers in the majors and the sole heir to his family’s fortune. His world turns upside down when he meets Abbey. Right away, he senses she’s special. That she’s meant to be his. With their relationship growing quickly, Luke asks Abbey to join him on the road for the adventure of a lifetime before her classes start in the fall, but she’s torn about what she should do. Her mother is upset and Luke’s agent thinks she’s in the way. Abbey believes she and Luke have a future together, but it won’t be easy. Can young love survive the stresses of family, college, life on the road, and everything that goes along with being a professional athlete? ![]() I hope your Sunday is off to a wonderful start. I'm contemplating a lot today. Tomorrow I'm embarking on a new adventure, something unlike anything I've ever done before. I can't share too much, I'm sorry. All I can say is it's a recurring role in a television series. They're looking for someone of Italian descent. The reason I'm giving it a shot is because I'm hoping it will bring me closer to my ultimate goal of bringing my Windy City Nights series to the screen. I haven't even told Luca about this! It was a fluke I found out about this opportunity at all. I happen to catch a FB post from an author acquaintance who had reposted it from an acquaintance of hers. She was recommending it to an author friend of hers! So wish me luck for tomorrow. I don't even know how I will make it work should I get the part. As you know, I have a full time job right now. From what I understand I wouldn't be needed every day on the set. I'm a full time teleworker anyway, so I could work from the studio, when I'm not needed on the set, right? There's plenty of time to work out the details. One step at a time. I'll keep you posted with details as I'm able to share them. |
