I hope to hear from an editor for On the Ropes soon. I'd really like to make the projected April release date.
The Warrior's Whisper is progressing, a little slower than I would like but I'm well into Chapter 2 and I should be moving on to Chapter 3 tomorrow.

I completed Chapter 1 of The Warrior's Whisper today. I feel like I have a foundation for Heath and Leah's story. There's some overlap in the beginning with On the Ropes. It was challenging revisiting Jake's wedding day and writing it from Heath and Leah's point of view. I still haven't received any updates regarding my assigned editor for On the Ropes, but I'll keep you posted. I finished the outline for the next story in the Windy City Nights series, tentatively titled The Warrior's Whisper. This is Heath and Leah's story. The story takes place during Jake and Cassie's wedding from On the Ropes and for some time after the wedding weekend. I still have a few research items to take care of and I'll get started writing the first draft in the next couple of days. Before the snow began to really fall heavily, Mr. Voss and I were tearing up the town. Mr. Voss was a US Navy Submariner from 1983 - 1988. As you know, women weren't allowed on submarines but I dragged him to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago to see the U-505 exhibit. The U-505 was a German World War II captured submarine. We got a guided tour, met up with some of his buddies from his Submarine Veteran's group and I wanted to share a few pictures of that experience with you. Later in the afternoon we attended the 25th Anniversary tour of the Professional Bull Riders in Rosemont, IL. One of the characters in the Texas branch of my series, was a professional bull rider, a champion, so I wanted to share a glimpse with you of what it's like. |
