Favorite thing I've ever written (and why)

Several Evernight authors are banding together for a yearlong weekly blog challenge that takes place every Thursday starting today. Each week we'll tackle a new topic. Our tag is #evernighties We'll post on our blogs and our various social media accounts with the fun graphic above.

Over the last twelve months I've written 3 full length novels, 2 have been published (On The Ropes and The Warrior's Whisper) and the third (Hannah's Bliss) will be released in March.

I will opt for 2 favorites...

One of my favorites, are scenes that have included the big, bad Dom from Envy, Texas Kyle Asher.  Kyle is an entrepreneur, tall, built, blond and dashingly handsome, as he'd happily admit. He's the master of all he surveys and all that. Women want him, men want to be him - oh he can be a tad arrogant and a pain in the ass too. But he's fiercely loyal to those he considers friends and family.

Because of his friendship with Heath Jackson and Rocco Moretti, he's chosen Chicago as the first leg of Envy Entertainment's expansion. As such, we've seen him interact with the cast of the Windy City Nights series, usually when he's angry.

He was angry with Heath for not dealing with his PTSD and through his anger helps him finally do so and get his happily ever after with Leah.

He was angry with Rocco for how he was handling his relationship with Hannah and had a bit of fun at Rocco's expense with Google Translate teasing him in Italian.

And as they say, the bigger they are the harder they fall...Mr. Kyle has opinions about everything and everyone. He watches from the sidelines as everyone pairs up both inside and outside of the Club Envidious dungeon.  At the end of the day, he's lonely, mostly of his own doing - that's part of his story. But never fear...we've already met his intended lady love in On the Ropes - care to guess who it might be?

My second favorite scenes include dialogue from Grandma Beverly and Grandma Ruth. They've confused hooking up, with dating, and coined the phrase hooking up sex. They've demonstrated they can curse up a storm. They taught us since they're in their seventies they are not cougars but cheetahs. They think Heath has a nice ass and gave Hannah condoms on her first date with Rocco - and yup...Luke noticed. Those two crack me up! I have a lot of fun thinking up things for them to say and do.

Until next Thursday...
